Hi there, I’m Mariah.

I’ve been doing photo and graphic work full-time in some form for the last 12 years. 

M. Kell Studio is the fancy, very original name I do business under as a freelance artist. These days I’m really enjoying using my unique set of skills to work with other businesses and entrepreneurs, helping them move their endeavors forward with high quality imagery, design, and stronger brand identities. I’m just another human on this earth trying to make a living doing creative things that I enjoy.

2012
A few friends and I started a small promotional company called Kitchen Table Promotion. Based in Columbia, Missouri, we helped local businesses get off the ground with basic marketing packages offering brand development, graphic design, web design, photography, videography, etc. We also helped music and bars venues in mid-Missouri launch bespoke events and experiences for themed parties, holidays, charity galas, etc., by providing services ranging from event campaign direction and planning, in-house graphic and web support, to day-of coordination management. We made a lot of great connections and memories during these years.

2014
Looking for a change of scenery after KTP mutually dissolved, I moved to St. Louis and started a boutique wedding photography company with a partner, So Gold Studio. Creating custom experiences catered to each pair of clients, and offering heirloom-quality albums and wall art.

So there it is!
No awards, no college degrees, no official credentials.
But proudly self-taught with an innate drive to be visually artistic and a desire to help others meet their creative goals and lot of practice jumping in headfirst and learning from experience.

When I’m not doing that I can usually be found outdoors, exploring, picnicking, and treasure hunting or experimenting in the kitchen.
